Top 5 Communication Apps on Android in Ukraine, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Ukraine showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

Telegram from Telegram FZ-LLC saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $132.7K in the last week of December. Downloads also rose steadily, reaching around 72.2K by the end of the quarter. However, there was a slight decline in weekly active users, from 22.2M to 21.7M.

WhatsApp Messenger experienced a consistent rise in downloads, culminating in 63.1K in the final week. Active users increased from 7.6M to 8M throughout the quarter.

My Kyivstar: mobile services had a notable jump in downloads, particularly in December, ending the quarter at 86.8K. The active user count grew from 3.7M to 4.1M.

Rakuten Viber Messenger by Viber Media demonstrated stable revenue growth, reaching up to $18.4K in late December. Downloads showed a positive trend, peaking at 52.6K, while active users slightly declined from 20.8M to 20.1M.

Messenger by Meta Platforms, Inc. saw an increase in downloads, reaching 43K at the quarter’s end. Active users rose from 4.6M to 4.9M.
